Nidhi is a seasoned leader with a passion for strategy, technology, and economic and social justice. Nidhi is the founding executive director of Carina, a technology nonprofit organization that builds online tools to bring good jobs to care workers, so care workers can provide the best possible care for those who need it. Carina’s safe, simple, and informed care matching platform has successfully matched over 5,000 care seekers and providers, working in partnership with labor, government, and community organizations.
At the cross-sections of human services, health care, and education, care services include the fastest-growing occupations in the United States and one of the country’s most diverse and marginalized workforces. Nidhi has 15+ years’ experience working with labor unions in the U.S. and abroad, focusing on low wage and informal sector workers. As the former national research director for SEIU, her achievements include organizing and bargaining campaigns resulting in 10k+ workers winning collective bargaining rights, and wage increases for 30k+ workers. Prior to her work with SEIU, she was a strategy consultant with Monitor Group, advising senior management at Fortune 500 companies on growth, valuation, and competitive mapping.
Nidhi has a degree in economics from the Wharton School at University of Pennsylvania and a Master’s in public policy from the Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University, where she concentrated in human resources, labor, and education.
